Yes. On May 15, 2013 an EF1 tracked about two and a half miles along Ennis Avenue and severely damaged 25 homes and 40 commercial buildings, some of them in the historic downtown. One person was hurt, and a falling tree opened up a roof and let the rain in. Water counts too. Heavy rain in late April 2024 washed out Ennis Parkway, and the city declared a local state of disaster on April 29 that year. Farther north in Ellis County, an EF3 hit Sardis on December 26, 2015, part of the wider Dallas-area outbreak that night rather than anything inside Ennis.
